Product Review: Puma
Good morning!
I have a fun post for today. I was sent Puma apparel on behalf of Fitfluential to wear during my workouts to review for their latest campaign. Being a fitness geek, this is a dream come true. Try on all their latest clothes and share my thoughts? SIGN ME UP!
The following post is sponsored by Fitfluential LLC on behalf of PUMA.
First of all, I got a medium in everything I am going to list below. I am pleasantly surprised at how well they fit me because mediums are usually a hit or miss, depending on the brand.
When I received my package, my jaw literally fell open. They were so generous in the amount of clothing they sent us to review, and all of the pieces looked like “me” too.
There were two looks they sent, one for performance and one for post-workout. Let’s dive right in, shall we?
The back is where it’s at.
Normally, I am not a big fan of tanks that aren’t shirts. Many tank tops are too tight on the tummy, and too long in the straps. Not necessarily with this one though.
I really enjoyed the fit and feel. The material was extremely breathable and mesh-like. There’s a really adorable design in the back too, with a criss-cross of the straps.
There’s also a built in bra that fit comfortably. I felt like it was just a tad loose, but that’s mostly because I”m small chested. This would most likely fit anybody else in the chest pretty close to perfectly.
I absolutely adored these capris. I have a few thoughts on them. First of all, like the tank above, it’s very breathable. It moves well with your body and can be worn during running, CrossFit, yoga or just relaxing.
They stay very dry during your workouts which is another plus. The inside material doesn’t “rub you the wrong way” like lots of capris can when you are moving around a lot.
The only thing I noticed is that when I wore these to CrossFit, they seemed to stretch a little more than I wanted, and so the crotch area slid down a bit and I’d pull them back up. This wasn’t a drastic stretch by any means, and actually it’s much more preferably to having capris on that are too tight.
Oh man.
When I first laid eyes on these shoes, I think I almost went for a run. I never just “go for a run,” so that’s saying something.
These minimalistic shoes are extremely lightweight and made for mobility. It’s a “women specific” shoe, so it’s made to fit the curves a delightfully delicious woman’s foot.
I don’t really believe in fancy pants shoe terms that highlight how different one shoe is from another, but what I do know is that these are minimalistic and I like that. The less “going on” the better. I will say that with these, you’re going to want to wear slightly taller socks than just the regular ones I think. The back of the shoe rubbed my uncovered skin a little too long and left it a bit sore, so I’m making sure to wear socks that cover the whole area next time.
I definitely dig this shirt as a pre or post-workout shirt. It has “dryCELL designation,” and a really cool cut-out detail in the back. I LOVE that both the shirts they sent me came with a cute back cute out, it seems to be the thing lately and I’m stoked to have received this piece.
Mine was in a medium, like everything else I ordered, and there was a tad extra room. This is good for me though, because I prefer my pre and post gear to be a little looser…just in case my sweat is a tad extensive.
The front of the shirt was so-so in my opinion. It almost didn’t look like something from Puma, but the more I wore it the more I liked it. Specifically for that reason…it’s different.
Different is good.
By far, my FAVOURITE piece of clothing. I’m obsessed with these. I highly recommend them to the world.
These are lounge pants in my book. They have extra room up top, and then get a little tighter at the ankles with some elastic. They are very stretchy at the waist and can be worn with a gym top or just a regular t-shirt, and still look cute.
When I put them on, I kind of feel like a hip hop dancer if that gives you any idea in regards to the fit.
Oh and they have pockets! Who doesn’t love that?!
These were said to have been a part of the post workout look, but I would like to suggest that these are just as workout-worthy as the Mobium XT shoes. They are extremely light weight as well, and while they might not be shaped like a running or fitness shoe, they perform like so.
With that said, I do CrossFit, so these are great for doing lifts in, and especially the WODs. They’re comfortable (and cushioned a bit), which helped me to focus more on the workout than the clothing I was wearing.
Overall, the clothing that Puma sent me had a very distinct theme: breathability. Everything was lightweight and flexible. I could move in everything really well, and almost all the pieces could be used across the board- weight lifting, CrossFit, yoga, gymnastics, running, etc. I love that about Puma.
So if you’re looking to get some new workout gear, I highly suggest one (or all!) of these pieces. And please let me know if you have any questions at all! I got a Medium in everything if that helps you with sizing estimations.
Much love!
