What a time.

I don’t know about you, but I’ve been having many upon many phone calls the past couple weeks… particularly, calls with people I wouldn’t have had “time” to speak with pre-virus. And one thing keeps coming up over and over in agreement: the coronavirus pandemic needed to happen.

Now, let’s get one thing straight: I am not spiritually bypassing the pain, anxiety, grief, fear and frustration we are all experiencing right now. Everything is in the “unknown” category. Not just one thing. Everything.

Everything is changing. Nothing will be like it was before in our society.

And personally, I think that’s a great thing.

Because we, as humans, were not waking up to the destruction of our planet and systems quickly enough, Mother Nature found a way to do it for us. Because we were so obsessed with time and planning and hustling, we weren’t experiencing any of the gifts of solitude, rest and even “the little things.”

We are now being forced inside where we will face our own demons, fears, and anxieties because there is essentially nothing to distract ourselves with — not for long, anyways. Eventually, everyone will start feeling what they feel… Netflix can only be the primary coping mechanism for so long.

So the question begs, what do you start doing when you start to feel? What do you do when you start to get scared? Do you turn on the news and further feed the fear? Do you try to control something (or someone) else when everything feels out of your hands?

If you’re trying to cope in some way, know that it’s all valid. Of course you are. You are human! And this time is scary.

That said, this is also a moment of deep, deep healing. This is a time to stop — look at around — see how this world is changing — and be in awe of it.

This is a time for deep rest.

This is a time for deep feminine embodiment.

When emotions are the highest, you have the greatest potential to feel your feelings fully. Get on your mat, sweet one, and move those emotions through. Not through yoga, but rather, let your emotions move you. Feel what comes up on your own as you listen to music and dim the lights. Cry. Pound your fists. Open to the unknown. And let that sweet release come through.

It’s hard to know what content is best to put out during a time like this, so I’m gearing up to only release episodes that are relevant to the current times for the foreseeable future, starting with today.
